There are three feature weekend games of the Triple Crown of Polo

• Sunday September 9, @ 5:00 pm
• Sunday September 16 @ 5:00 pm and
• Saturday September 22 @ 3:00 pm (ESPN Championship Finals)

All events take place at New Bridge Polo and Country Club, 836 New Bridge Road, Aiken, SC 29803.

These games make for a great family day out and children under 12 are allowed in for free!

From Downtown Aiken:
Drive E on Richland Avenue US-1/US-78 to Rudy Mason Hwy.
Turn left onto Rudy Mason Hwy (Hwy 118)
Turn right onto Wire Rd.
Turn right onto New Bridge Rd.

New Bridge Polo and Country Club will be on the right.

From Augusta GA:
I-20 E toward Columbia, SC
Take Exit #22 US-1 and turn toward Aiken
Turn left on Hwy 118
Turn left on Wire Rd.
Turn right on New Bridge Rd.

New Bridge Polo and Country Club will be on the right.

From Columbia SC:
Take I-20 W toward Augusta GA
Take Exit 22 US-1 toward Aiken
Turn left on Hwy 118
Turn left on Wire Rd.
Turn right on New Bridge Rd.

What To Wear?

For polo anything goes – dress up or down it’s up to you. 

Shorts and sundresses are fine, jeans, t-shirts, khakis, polo shirts – you name it, you can wear it to polo. Remember to bring hats, lawn chairs and sunscreen and umbrellas for shade if needed in General Admission area.  If you’re going to the Chairman’s Club the dress code is dressy casual.

How long does a polo game last?

A polo game will usually last approximately two hours with a 20-minute half time when spectators are invited on to the field for the traditional ‘divot stomp’. 

After the game there will be a trophy presentation in front of the Lexus Oasis when all spectators are invited to enjoy the show and meet the players for autographs.

Will there be concessions?

There will be a cash bar in the General Admission area as well as food vendors and an ice cream stand.  There will also be a cash bar in the Lexus Oasis. No coolers are allowed in General Admission.  Only fieldside tailgating spots may tailgate.

What is the Lexus Oasis?

Next to the Chairman’s Club on the clubhouse side of the field everyone in attendance is encouraged to visit the Lexus Oasis.  The focus of attention will be the LS 600hL, the first luxury full-size hybrid luxury sedan.  There will be other attractions for visitors in the Lexus Oasis as well as a cash bar.  Buses are on call all afternoon to transport spectators from the General Admission area to the Lexus Oasis and back.

Will there be tickets available at the gate?

It is strongly advised to pre-purchase tickets for the feature games to ensure availability – particularly for the Chairman’s Club, Fieldside Parking and Cabanas.  There may be additional tickets available on the day but there is no guarantee.  The only tickets guaranteed to be available are General Admission tickets on the day of the event.

What if it rains?

Tickets are sold for rain or shine.  If the polo field is declared unplayable on the afternoon of the game the game itself may be postponed but the afternoon hospitality will continue. The game will be played on the first available day and spectators are able to return and watch the action.

What is Lexus Sunday?

The first Sunday, September 9 has been deemed ‘Lexus Sunday’.  All those arriving in a Lexus including passengers have free admission and preferred parking.  This special accommodation is in honor of Lexus being the official automobile of the Triple Crown of Polo Championship Series.

What is ESPN Championship Saturday?

The finals of the Triple Crown of Polo Championship Series on Saturday, September 22 are being taped by ESPN cameras.  Footage will air in a two-hour show on ESPN 2 at 3pm [EST] on Sunday, October 7.

I’ve never been to polo before… what should I expect?

Expect to have fun.  Expect to feel welcome.  Expect to want to come back again next year.  If you’ve never been to polo before, there’s no better place to start than at the Triple Crown of Polo Championship Series.  The social aspects of each event day are the foundation for the sport and are the perfect backdrop for what will be the biggest community event in Aiken’s polo history.
