Aiken's own Tommy Biddle Jr. takes field for UPS Trophy

Triple Crown of Polo Championship Series continues as Brigadoon takes on Tres Hijas Sunday September 16, 5pm New Bridge Polo and Country Club

Tommy Biddle Jr. is a powerhouse of the game and one of the few players to be able to consistently score from the halfway line.

This afternoon as Biddle lines up for Tres Hijas as they take on Brigadoon in the UPS Trophy - a crucial feature game for the Triple Crown of Polo Championship Series - he will have plenty of family support on and off the field. Biddle's wife Yvette is substituting for Tres Hijas patron Andy Stack, whose business commitments have confined him to Texas for the start of the Triple Crown of Polo Championship Series.

On the sidelines will be Tommy's father Tom Biddle Sr. President of the USPA and a longtime Aiken resident, his wife Linda as well as Tommy's younger brother Bradley and his wife Holly.

Tommy Biddle will line up with one of America's finest in Mike Azzaro. A former 10-goal player, Azzaro brings style and flair to the field and is inspirational to watch. Kris Kampsen completes the Tres Hijas line up making an all-American team with a home crowd cheering section that should be evident on the sidelines.

Aiken polo fans are in for a further treat this Sunday afternoon as America's young star player Jeff Hall makes his debut at the New Bridge Polo and Country Club in the UPS Trophy playing for Brigadoon.

Hall, 28, began playing professionally at the tender age of 12. Having lived in California and more recently Texas, Hall is seriously considering relocating to Aiken. Since polo is undoubtedly his passion he may have come to the right place. "You know when you are like in third or fourth grade, you have to write what you want to be," he told the Polo Player's Edition for a recent cover feature on Hall. "I still have those books, where I wrote I want to be a professional polo player, 10 goals. I had it mapped out from day one."

Hall competed in last year's Triple Crown of Polo finals in Santa Barbara but failed to win and put his name on the TCP Tiffany & Co trophy. He'll be looking to correct that version of events in Aiken this week as he plays for Christine Cato's Brigadoon alongside Argentina six-goal players Guillermo Usandizaga and Francisco Bilbao.

The Triple Crown of Polo is sponsored in part by Lexus and Tiffany & Co.
